Mark Rainey
senior pastor
Mark has served as Pastor at Orenco Church since October of 1983. Following his education at California State University (Sacramento) and Fuller Theological Seminary, he served churches in Red Bluff, California, and Oregon City, Oregon. His wife, Lisa, is a teacher at Orenco Elementary School. Mark and Lisa have three adult children: Sarah (married to James), Ben (married to Carly), and Alyssa and are enjoying their new life as grandparents.
Mark enjoyed reading Tod Bolsinger's Canoeing the Mountains recently and shares the importance of doing things differently in today's church. "Leadership is energizing a community of people toward their own transformation in order to accomplish a shared mission in the face of a changing world." Mark adds, "It's true we have to do things differently. While God's message remains unchanged, we must always look to new ways to tell and live out God's great news to us."
Mark plays keyboard and guitar in our praise band, Cornerstone, likes to shoot hoops, and follows Bay Area sports teams.

YOUTH DIRECTOR
Hey, I'm Ryan! I've lived in Hillsboro, Oregon my whole life, growing up through West Union Elementary, Poynter Middle, and Liberty High. Sports have always been a big part of me - I've spent plenty of time playing both football and lacrosse.
After high school, I went on to study at Multnomah University and Multnomah Biblical Seminary, where my passion for faith and ministry really grew. For the past 12 years, I've been blessed to work with students, walking alongside them in their faith journey and helping them discover who God has called them to be.
When I'm not serving in youth ministry, I'm usually out exploring Oregon, checking out local festivals, or tracking down good food. I also love spending time with friends and family, playing games, and getting lost in a good book.
At the end of the day, my heart is for people - building relationships, creating experiences, and encouraging others to live with purpose and joy.

Katie Fink
Children'S Ministry DIRECTOR
childrensministry@orencochurch.orgHi, I’m Katie, and I’m so excited to be serving as the Children’s Ministry Director at Orenco Church!
I spent the first 13 years of my life in California’s Central Valley before moving to Hillsboro, where I attended J.B. Thomas and Hilhi. I later attended Portland Community College and Concordia University for college.
I’ve always had a heart for working with children. Most recently, I spent the last 12 years working in a children’s emergency room in Portland, caring for kids and supporting families during difficult moments. During that time, I began to feel God calling me into something new. As I prayed and stepped into that calling, He led me to Orenco Church, and I truly feel so blessed to be here.
I recently married my husband, Kordell, in La Grande, Oregon, and we now live in Beaverton with our 10-year-old Border Collie/Aussie, Mowgli. When I’m not at church, you’ll usually find me reading, baking, camping, hiking, or spending time with family and friends.
I’m so excited to meet you and your family, and I look forward to walking alongside your children as they grow in their faith and learn more about God’s love.

Nancy Collins
Office Administrator
Nancy serves as the Office Manager at Orenco Church, after a long career at Intel. She is an active member of the church and has served both as a Deacon and Elder. She is also the Clerk of Session. When away from the church, Nancy judges horse shows, shows dogs, and enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Ben Goetz & Carolyn Kirksey
Custodians
Carolyn and Ben became custodians at Orenco Church in 2015. A few times a week, they can be found tidying up our busy church building. Ben is also our resident handyman, taking on small repairs around the building.
Carolyn joined Orenco Church in 2008, after attending and enjoying activities with her favorite nieces and nephew, Kylia, Mariah, and Jayden. She has been a small group leader in our Alpha ministry and served on the Northwest Regional Board for Alpha USA. Carolyn's favorite scripture is 2 Timothy 4:7-8.
Carolyn and Ben also run their own cleaning business and enjoy trips to the beach when they have free time together.
