Friendship & Opportunities to Learn

Orenco Church's women's ministry is for all ages and provides opportunities to connect and fellowship with one another, as well as grow in our knowledge and love for God. Our desire is for the women at Orenco to come together in friendship and grow together in their life with Christ through encouragement, fellowship, and support. Our activities and gatherings vary each year, but friendship in Christ is always at their center.


All women are invited to join our Sunday morning class at 8:45 am, either in person or on Zoom.  We select a study specifically for women and walk through it together each week, discussing its application to our daily lives. To find out about our current study and how to receive a copy of the workbook send an email to:

Fellowship & Mission

We gather for various types of fellowship activities throughout the year. Whether it's a painting party, watching a movie, or other activity we always have fun and enjoy each other's company and meeting new friends. We hope you'll join us!


Some of the women participate in a Secret Prayer Partner ministry, supporting one another all year with anonymous gifts and notes, and, most importantly, in their daily prayers. These women sign up to participate in January and then discover who has been praying for them at the year’s end with a special party. 


There is also a group that meets one Saturday morning each month for card making.  No prior experience is needed and you don't need to bring any tools or supplies, just yourself!  An optional $15 donation helps to reimburse the instructor for her supplies.


We also provide knitted and crocheted shawls and lap blankets to those who are ill or in the hospital and to local chaplains to give out. These "prayer shawls" are handmade by the women in our congregation with love, intended to provide warmth and brighten someone's day.
