Open Doors, USA, reports over 75% of the world's population lives in areas of strict religious restriction. Each month, 322 Christians are killed for their faith. Open Doors works to empower persecuted Christians around the world through various programs. At Orenco, we gather once a month to write letters to persecuted Christians, and we hold them in prayer.

Orenco Elementary School is located just a few blocks away from Orenco Church. We hope to encourage those who work at and attend Orenco Elementary through Saturday clean-up projects, staff appreciation times, and by meeting the needs of families as they arise. Our women's ministry hosts a staff appreciation treat each spring.
We are proud of our local relationship with Saving Grace Maternity Home, here in Orenco. Saving Grace just opened their doors in their new home, which will allow them to serve four young women at a time who are homeless and experiencing unplanned or crisis pregnancies. These women receive training and education, assistance with job placement and finding housing, and other forms of life-giving help. At Orenco Church we are committed to our support of those at Saving Grace, as well as its directors, Skip and Cindy Sorum.

With Love, is a local non-profit foster care resource that provides for the many physical needs of children in foster care. A lot of children in the foster care system don't have many belongings to call their own as they move through the system. With Love, helps embrace these children and gives them an aura of dignity. Orenco Church's children will be raising money to purchase new teddy bears to donate to With Love,. For the kids in the foster care system that With Love, supports, these teddy bears will be a source of comfort and love. The children of our church are excited to fundraise and bring in money to help donate as many teddy bears as they can!
